Trust the Forecast I King 18:41-45 (NIV)
Forecast is a prediction or estimate of a future event or trend. A prophesy on the other hand is to make inspired declarations of what is to come”, a prophesy or a word of God about what will happen in the future. Too often we rely on humans to tell us about our future or to help us prepare for our daily affairs. A typical example is from I King 18 where God spoke through Elijah to prepare for storm after several years of famine. When we’re desperate, we might act contrary to God’s word. When things don’t happen like we expect it to be, we must rely on God’s words to perceiver (Proverbs 3: 5-6).
Are you facing difficult circumstance/ situation? Are you running to others for answers to your problem? Are you thinking things will never get better or you’re thinking there is no solution to your problem? In the midst of calamity, God is on one side planning our escape route if we seek His face. Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear; for I am with you…”. Don’t give up on God this season and He won’t give up on you.
